Vintage Deitsch Lizard Bag, leather line

Deitsch! I don't find Deitsch bags very often, and when I do, I'm very happy! Their construction is simply impeccable. This bag has a gold tone brass frame in excellent condition. The frame is topped with a thin stability bar, wrapped in lizard. The sides of the bag are constructed with inset triangles, on all four sides, so that this bag has four more seams than a handbag usually has. The seams give the bag its fascinating, 1940s angular appearance, as well as remarkably deep side gussets. . There's a tab at the front and a snap closure, with a brass finial. The handle is lizard lined with leather, has a 6 1/2" drop, and is fastened to the bag with rivets, so that it swings freely. The lining is rust-colored leather, with the Deitsch reptile logo, and one deep pocket. This vintage Deitsch bag is 9" wide by 7" high by 3" deep. It is in mint condition.
