Bass used to produce very high-end, luxury handbags, and this bag is definitely from that period. It is a hard-sided, rather large, rectangular box handbag from the 1970s, I think. It has a alligator skins-wrapped metal frame that opens right down to the base, with brass corner guards and snap closure. The interior is rosy-rust colored kid leather, with four interior pockets, one with a metal zipper and three with gold piping trim. The matching coin purse with kiss clasp is attached with gold cording. The handle is alligator with brown leather lining, and it has a 6" drop. The bag measures 9 3/8" wide at the base, by 9 5/8" wide at the top, by 5 1/4" high, by 3 1/2" deep. This vintage Bass alligator handbag is in excellent vintage condition. The skins are in great shape, with no lifting or cracking in the scales. (Marked down from $120.00.)
