Big Dofan Handbag w/ Unusual Closure

Large, heavy duty Dofan handbag, clearly marked, "Dofan / Made in France." Very heavy leather, with padded, horizontal ridges ccand top stitching on front and back of bag--the ridges make for a lot of stability. Eames era brass fittings, including those big rings that split in two when the bag opens, then come back together when it closes. Four brass feet. Red leatherette lining with three pockets, one with a metal zipper. Sculptured handle has a 6" drop. Bag measures 11 1/2" wide by 8 1/2" high by 4" deep. Excellent vintage condition.
