Really gorgous alligator handbag, one of the best we've had in a long time. In the gently rounded shape of the 1940s, with a heavy duty brass frame with alligator inserts on both sides of the bag. All of the skins are in great shape, with no lifting or curling of the scales. The handle is alligator on both sides, is beautifully contoured to fit in your hand, has a 6" drop, and is in immaculate condition. The Eames-era brass closture is nicely stepped and snaps perfectly. All the brass is in great shape, including the four brass feet. The bag' lining is smooth black leather, and it has two pockets, one with a metal zipper. Theis vintage alligator handbag 12" wide wide at the base, by 6" high, by 4" deep. The sides are rigid, of course, and the base is well reinforced. Mint condition. You'll be happy!
