More sophisticated than the more traditional "hippie purse"
and more graceful, this shoulder bag is still from the late
60s or early 70s. Both sides are top-stitched for the window-
pane effect. The tops of the bag are reinforces, so they don't
roll over or get wilted looking. Snap closure. Bag is self-
lined with the leather's own suede. Separately applied, hanging
leather pocket with metal zipper. Padded, flexible straps have
an 11" drop. 13 1/2" wide at the widest point, by 12" high, by
3" deep. Absolutely mint, never carried.

The label says, "Hell Bent Leather and Silver / Durango
Telluride / Colorado." I can just see the shop in my mind's eye,
can't you? Small? Kind of dark? Great aromas? Leatherworker
with an astonishing beard and brilliant blue eyes?
Okay. Back to reality. The reality is that this is one
GREAT pebbled leather backpack. Self-lined with the leather's
own suede. Magnetic snap closure. Single, separately applied,
leather hanging pocket. Short hanging strap in back with a 1 1/2"
drop. Over-the-shoulder, doubled leather strap has a 46 1/2" to
52 1/2" drop, and is adjustible with a brass buckle. 2" deep,
doubled leather reinforcing yoke around the top. Bag is 10" wide
at the base, by 12 1/2" high, by 6 1/2" deep. This pack is
completely clean on the inside. Exterior has a splendid patina.

This appealing satchel has two leather labels. One says,
"Made in Paraguay." The other, on the front of the bag, says,
"Fashioned by Kristy" in letters like a western brand. The
satchel is very well made of leather, with a calico lining and
with interesting leather reinforcing on the side gussets. Sturdy
squarish metal frame is wrapped in leather. Leather handle has
a 2" drop. One inside pocket. Locking closure with key and
inside attached key chain. Four large, round feet. Vintage
satchel measures 11" wide at the base, by 8 1/2" high, by
6" deep. Excellent vintage condition. No problems at all!

Soft, supple 1980s leather for this very pretty, cornflower
blue (see Wilkipedia list) convertible clutch bag. Center
divider with second outside flap. Both sections lined in
high-end blue vinyl. One inside pocket with zipper. Label
says, "Fashion Right / Made in Taiwan." Spagetti strap has a
17" drop. Well-padded bag measures 10" wide by 7" high. Mint
condition, never carried.

I did a quick-and-dirty search for this cartoon charachter,
without any luck. I searched for "woman warrior" "unicorn
shield," "riding bear." If you recognize her, please let me
know.
The person who did this tooling was VERY talented and did an
amazing job. The detail is astonishing--literally the best I've
ever seen. The bag itself is well made, too. It is the first
of these 1960s and 1970s tooled "hippie bags" I've seen that is
lined. The lining is lightweight, ribbed, black rubber, so the
bag is effectively waterproof. Braided shoulder strap has a 18"
drop. The vintage shoulder bag measures 10" wide at the widest
point, by 8" high, by 4 1/4" deep. Excellent vintage condition.
