Just in: a vintage Deitsch snake skin handbag, a vintage Mark Cross crowns and fobs feed sack shoulder bag, an olive green pebbled leather and suede 1950s bag by Roger Van S., a vintage Charles Jourdan leather clutch, a figural silk evening bag with an amethyst bead handle and a JEMCO frame, a gloriously large vintage trapezoid handbag in shades of tan and brown, a vintage designer Rosenfeld barrel bag in paisley leather, a black leather vintage Dofan bag with a Bakelite finial, a long vintage Paristyle black leather tote with tortoise shell Bakelite handles, and a Roger Van S vintage satchel for the cruise crowd. Other Investment Bags have been moved to other departments and radically marked down. Markdowns last done on February 3.
"Investment Bags" is our department for antique, vintage and retro designer handbags, evening bags, and purses for the serious collector or the serious clothes horse. We stash our alligator and crocodile bags here, as well as other exotic skins bags. We put our high-end, vintage designer bags here, too, and try to stock bags by vintage designers and manufacturers such as: Holzman, Susan Gail, Sydney, Tano, Theodore, Stylecraft, Tower, Triangle, Tyrolean, Sheldon, Ronay, Rosenfeld, Rosenstein.

	Finely textured lizard, skins beautifully matched for a dressy handbag in warm honey-toned brown. This is a beautifully constructed bag from the 1960s, and it is rather large, It has a pretty, flared border on both sides of the frame, and the lizard pattern is the same on both sides, as well. Leather- lined lizard handle has a 4 1/2" drop. Snap closure with an interesting, round finial. Lining is chocolate brown faille, with two large pockets, one with zipper. There's no label, but the bag has the numbers 66090 and 473MZ73. This honey- colored vintage lizard bag measures 10" wide by 6 1/2" high by 3 1/2" deed. Deep side gussets. Four little brass feet. 	We seldom find Deitsch bags at reasonable prices! But, I got a good deal on this one, so you can have a good deal, too! This is a VERY dark navy blue snake skin bag with the Deitsch embroidered fabric label firmly affixed inside. The matching coin purse is still attached to the bag with a fine gold chain. This Deitsch bag has a square, spring operated metal closure, so the bag stays open when you want it open. Lining is navy blue faille, with three large pockets. Handle has a 7 1/2" drop. Original mirror is still inside. The exterior has three snake skin panels on each side, with the skins beautifully matched. The bag measures 9" wide, by 6" high, by 3" deep, with very generous side gussets. Vintage Deitsch is in excellent condition. The snake skin is in mint condition, with no lifted scales. 	Spectacular vintage Mark Cross feed sack with gorgeous watches and fobs pattern. (The colors are much more beautiful--and more subtle--than I could show them here.) Authentic Mark Cross, with the 1845 crest on the front of the bag, on the zipper pull, and on the inside label, which also says "Made in Italy." Lined in warm brown leather with a satin finish. One inside zippered pocket. Exterior is coated canvas with a leather base, leather piping at the seams, and a leather strap with a 16 1/2" drop. 	Plump vintage Roger Van S. handbag in forest green pebbled leather and matching suede leather panels on the front and back of the bag. Leather piping emphasizes the panels' shape. Padded, semi-rigid handle has a 5" drop. Pale tan linen lining with one pocket with metal zipper and with the little brass "Roger Van S." label. Snap closure with brass finial. Leather-wrapped, sturdy metal frame. This Roger Van S. bag measures 10" wide at the widest point, by 6 1/2" high, by 3 1/2" deep, with generous side gussets. Mint condition.
	Exquisite details! Long and rather large 1989s vintage clutch by Charles Jourdan. Gold metal label (attached with tiny gold screws) says, "Charles Jourdan / Paris / Made in France." This clutch is made of heavenly soft leather in dark olive green (according to the Wikipedia color chart.) The scalloped, appliqued, and top-stitched edge on the front flap is just elegant! Black leather lining with one zippered pocket. An old-fashioned matching leather hand strap on the back. Magnetic snap closure. 	Lovely one-of-a-kind evening bag made of figural print silk fabric (looks a little like a Mary Cassatt painting) beautifully pieced together with feather stitch done in olive green silk. The fabric pouch looks hand crafted, but the frame is clearly marked with the tiny diamond JEMCO logo. Peach silk faille lining. The handle is a strand of round, genuine amethyst beads! The jeweled handle has a 6 1/4" drop. The antique evening bag measures 7 1/2" wide by 5" high by 1 1/2" deep. Absolutely mint condition. Perhaps never carried.
