Striking vintage bag in perfect condition! The first thing
you'll notice is the cut-out "V" into which the black Lucite
ffold-over clasp fits. (The sparkly gold pattern is imbedded
into the center of the Lucite, so none of the little beads will
ever fall off.) The bag is black leather with a slight texture.
The contoured handle has a 7" drop. There's a long, shallow
pocket at the top of the outside back of the bag. Inside, the
lining is tan leatherette, with two pockets, one with a metal
zipper. The label says, "Original by Caprice." The bag is a
trapezoid shape, and it measures 9 1/2" wide at the base and
13" wide at the top, by 8 1/2" high, by 3 1/4" deep at the base
and 1" deep at the top. This bag is in mint, never carried
condition.

I miss Marshall Field's. Don't you? Or whatever independent
department store you had, instead of Macy's?
Anyway, this bag brings back old times! The embroidered fabric
label says, "Marshall Field and Company." This is a terrific
vintage alligator bag, in the pouch style, rather than the frame
style. At the top, there's a ribbon of metal, curved and rounded
at both ends, then inlayed with alligator skins. The entire
ribbon is actually the finial for the snap closure. The handle
is attached with nuts and bolts. It swings freely, is lined in
brown leather, and has a 6" drop. It is lined in warm tan suede
leather, and it has three pockets, two trimmed with brown leather
piping. The lining is in perfect condition. The bag measures
8 1/2' wide at the base, by 9" high, by 2 1/2" deep. Skins are
supple and in perfect condition. This Marshall Field alligator
bag is in mint, never carried condition.

Deitsch! I don't find them very often, and when I do, I'm
very happy! The construction is simply impeccable. This bag
has a metal frame (goldtone with rose overtones) inset with
lizard. The bag is seamed, front and back, to have a curved,
yoke appearance. There's a tab at the front and snap closure.
The handle is lizard lined with leather, and it has a 6 1/2"
drop. The lining is rust-colored leather, with the Deitsch
reptile logo and two pockets. This vintage Deitsch bag is
8 1/2" wide by 4 1/2" high by 3" deep at the base. It is in
mint condition.

Absolutely classic black lizard handbag from Sterling.
Luxurious tan leather lining with one pocket, clearly marked

Lizrd skins are in terrific condition, still glossy and supple,
with a dramatic pattern. Lining is perfect. Lizard handle
lined in black leather has a 6 1/2". Bag measures 11" wide at
the widest point, by 5 1/2" high at the widest point, by 3 1/2"

Reportedly, Martin van Schaak designed handbags for Jacqueline
Kennedy when she was Jackie Onassis. This bag is clearly marked,
"Martin van Schaak / New York." Given the amazingly wonderful
quality of the bag, I can imagine that Mrs. Onassis was delighted
to buy van Schaak bags.
This is a messenger bag, in rich black leather with a fine
lizard texture imprinted. It is lined in black leather, has a
center divider with a zippered pocket, two large open pockets,
a lipstick pocket, and a large zippered pocket. A full open
pocket is on the outside back of the bag. The strap has a 15"
to 18" drop and is adjustible with a brass buckle. The seams
are sewn with piping, and the flap has a padded, raised ridge
around the edge. This is a beautiful shoulder bag in mint,
never carried condition. (I won't be marking this one down.
I'll just keep it.)

I love this bag! I like vintage that speaks of different times
and people. THIS bag says, in a very loud voice, "1920s!"
It's made of the skins of very young alligator (thus, the small
scales) and is very dark brown with red highlights. The logo
says, simply, "Alan."
The bag measures 9" wide at the widest point, by 6" high, by
3 1/2" deep. The handle has a is 6" high, and it is in excellent
condition. Luxuriously lining of soft tan leather. Notice the
matching leather coin purse with kiss clasp. It has two inside
pockets, one with a metal zipper and one lined in dark taupe silk
faille. The bag has a very sturdy brass frame, wrapped in
alligator skins, and there's piping at the seams. Excellent
padding. Bright brass fold-over closure. This vintage designer
bag is in excellent vintage condition. The bag has been carried,
but it has years to go. It looks like new, and the skins are in
perfect condition. You'll be happy!
