Fascinating antique handbag with a maple (I think) wood frame
and a carved snap closure. Made of heavy, woven fabric in
dark green, rust, brown, teal, and tan. Braided cord handle
has a 4" drop. The side gussets are VERY deep and made of
navy blue linen. Bright, rather wild striped peau de soie
lining. This antique bag measures 7 1/2" wide at the base,
by 5 1/2" high (not including the frame,) by 5" wide with the
huge side gussets extended. Mint condition. (Marked down

Very heavy, leather-textured cardboard with sturdy metal frame
and corners, plus a molded metal handle. This is a terrific
metal suitcase in a child's size--really bigger than a toy.
Held together with heavy-duty rivets and screws. "Lining"
is tartan-look paper. Heavy working clasp closes tightly.
Handle has a 3" drop. 9 1/2" wide by 7 1/2" high by 4" deep.

Wonderful drawstring pouch for day or evening from the Depression
era. This bag wasn't made on a shoe string. This bag was made
FROM shoe strings. The bag's basic material is shoe strings!
Carefully and intricately knotted! See what looks like a bugle
bead fringe dangling from the bag's neck? Those aren't beads--
those are the plastic ends of the shoestrings! The shoe string
bag hangs from the foundation bag and lining, a second drawstring
bag of rich brown silk broadcloth, nicely pleated at the top.
The pouch portion of the bag measures 8 1/2" wide at the base by
7" high. Absolutely mint condition. Perhaps never carried.

Antique Corde clutch in very, very dark navy blue rayon cord.
Metal zipper closure at the top. Lined in navy blue rayon
broadcloth. Corded on both sides, with the fancy swirls on the
