Vintage Coach Murphy's Willis bag with the difficult-to-find
silver tone nickel hardware. The Murphy's Willis is built
like the Willis bag, with the dowl rod at the top and the horse-
shoe like brackets for the shoulder strap. But, it is a smaller,
more narrow bag and it doesn't have a top handle. This bag is
soft, smooth black leather, with a full outside pocket on the
back, a full outside pocket on the front under the flap, and a
removable, adjustible shoulder strap with a 26" drop. There's
a zippered pocket on the inside, with the Coach creed on the
pocket and the bag number, J80-9930. Hang tag attached. Bag
is self-lined with its own suede. 7" wide by 9" high by 3" deep.
Absolutely, positively mint condition. Never carried.

Bass used to produce very high-end, luxury handbags, and this
bag is definitely from that period. It is a hard-sided, rather
large, rectangular box handbag from the 1970s, I think. It has
a alligator skins-wrapped metal frame that opens right down to
the base, with brass corner guards and snap closure. The
interior is rosy-rust colored kid leather, with four interior
pockets, one with a metal zipper and three with gold piping trim.
The matching coin purse with kiss clasp is attached with gold
cording. The handle is alligator with brown leather lining, and
it has a 6" drop. The bag measures 9 3/8" wide at the base, by
9 5/8" wide at the top, by 5 1/4" high, by 3 1/2" deep. This
vintage Bass alligator handbag is in excellent vintage condition.
The skins are in great shape, with no lifting or cracking in the
scales. (Marked down from $120.00.)

This bag looks like, and is same the quality as, a Saber bag,
but there's no label. So, I can't say for sure. The richly
printed lining is rayon and silk, not cotton. Open-wide metal
frame has faux studs. Metal chain handle has a 6" drop.
Decorative applique leather strip on the front of the bag, plus
an interesting cutout pull tab. Large kiss clasp. Reinforced
base. 9 1/2" wide at the base, by 8" high, by 2" deep.
Absolutely mint, never carried. So much fun!

Bellestone faux alligator (but real, high gloss, alligator
imprinted leather) kelly bag in mint condition. As you probably
know, Bellestone was one of the best makers of alligator
handbags, so it stands to reason that they would know how to
make leather really look like alligator--and this does! Lined
in off-white leatherette, with three pockets, two with matching
piping. Clearly marked "Bellestone." Four little brass feet.
Twist clasp. Nicely contoured handle with a 3" drop. Bag
measures 8 1/2" wide by 5 1/2" high by 4" deep, with generous
side gussets NOT extended. Again, absolutely mint, never
carried condition.

1950s black pebbled leather handbag styled like a mail pouch!
This bag is so cute! I've never seen another one like it, and
I've seen a LOT of handbags! Front pleat is riveted, to hold
its shape. Flap is riveted to the back. Double handles have a
6" drop. Self-lined with the leather's own suede. Bag measures
10" wide at the base, 8 3/4" wide at the top, by 7 1/2" high,
by 2" deep, gussets partially extended. This bag is in mint,
never carried condition.

Can a Bermuda bag be made of leather? With no wooden handles?
Pappagallo seems to have done that! Vintage Bermuda bag with
a "Pappagallo / Made in Colombia" label. Very fine, pliable
leather, including leather handles. Leather piping at the seams.
Bag is self-lined with the leather's own suede. One separately
applied, hanging pocket with a flap and snap closure. Handles
have a 3" drop. Bag is 10" wide at the widest point, by 7"
high (not including handles,) by 2 1/2" deep. Absolutely mint,
never carried!
