Such beautiful fabric in such wonderful condition--both the
hanging garden brocade on the outside of the bag and the
lovely silk lining on the inside of the bag. As I hope you
can see, the bag has two complete metal frames, both with
kiss clasps, that divide the bag into three sections. Each
section is lined with off-white silk. The front section has
a small, round mirror in a metal frame backed with more
silk, suspended on a silk ribbon from the bag's frame.
Probably from the 1920s. 9" wide by 8" high by 1 1/4" deep.
The hand strap has a 7" drop. Excellent antique condition.

Charming! I've never seen a Corde bag in such perfect condition.
Deep navy blue with an elaborate petal pattern on the front of
the bag, a geometric diamond pattern on the back. Even the sides
base and handle are corded. The tulip shape of the bag follows
the shape of the leaf pattern on the bag. Inside, the bag is
lined with matching satin. The center section closes with a metal
zipper, with a deep pocket on either side. The bag measures 12"
wide at the top of the bag, 9 1/2" wide at the base, by 7" high,
by 2" deep. Handle has a 6" drop. Base and sides are stiff with
reinforcing, giving the bag a hard-sided look. Mint condition!

Large antique satchel from the 1880s with an elaborate German
silver (an alloy of copper, zinc and nickel) frame. The
beautifully detailed frame is monogrammed "M.R." It is wide
and deep German silver on both sides of the bag, and it is
clearly marked "German Silver" inside the frame. The little
fabric tag says, "Warranted Seal Goat." (Just what IS a seal
goat? Is it extinct?) The satchel is completely lined with tan
leather and has one very large pocket. The lining is in excellen
condition. The double handles have a 6" drop. The satchel
measures 12 1/2" wide by 8" high by 4" deep. This bag is best
used for display or would make an excellent theatrical prop.
